The #77 Dempsey Proton Porsche 911 RSR of Patrick Long, Patrick Dempsey and Marco Seefried had a quiet race at round 7 of the 2015 WEC season at Shanghai, finishing 4th in the GTE-AM class. Two weeks removed from the team’s maiden race win in Fuji, the WEC race was again contested in very wet conditions, leading to spins off course for many of the competitors. Despite the weather, Porsche had a dominant weekend on track, claiming not only a 1-2 victory overall but the LMP1 Manufacturer’s Championship and also a victory for the works squad in the GTE-PRO class.
The final race of the World Endurance Championship will run November 20-21 in Bahrain.
