American Le Mans Series Interview with ‘05 GT2 Champ Ready for Download

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing driver Patrick Long (Las Vegas) was recently interviewed by the American Le Mans Series media staff. The interview, which took place in the Petersen/White Lightning transporter on the morning of the Grand Prix of Mosport, gives insight to the team, Long’s partnership with teammate and fellow ’05 Champion Jörg Bergmeister (Langenfeld, Germany) and more. The MP3-formated interview featuring the 2005 GT2 class champion, who is currently ranked third in the 2006 standings, is available for immediate download from a variety of internet venues.

Long, who has won twice this season in the No. 31 MMPIE/PAWS/Michelin Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, is the second member of the 2005 GT2 Championship team to be interviewed by the Series’ Ryan Smith. Team manager/entrant Dale White (Bozeman, MT) was the first participant of the Series to be interviewed for the popular medium by the media staff. White’s interview, which took place prior to the Grand Prix of Houston, can be found at the same locations as Long’s more recent conversation under the title: 2006 Houston – Dale White.

Two races remain on the 2006 schedule. The 10 hour/1,000 mile Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta on September 30. The four-hour season-finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is scheduled for October 21.
