29HD Network launches the first episodes of the 12-part Broadband HD Short Documentary Series “24HR Racer” with 2-time Le Mans winner and current Porsche Factory Driver Patrick Long as the racer whose life is being showcased in a series shot in multiple locations around the globe. The first episode introduces Patrick Long as the 24HR Racer and can be viewed on www.24hrracer.com or downloaded through iTunes from the 24HR Racer Video Podcast. A 24HR Racer collectible Broadband Multi-Media Booklet App for the iPhone is also set to be launched. The 24HR Racer iPhone App will feature over 50 photographs and several short videos about Patrick Long. New episodes will follow biweekly.

Patrick Long, the only American racing professionally for Porsche, has had an immaculate start to his career. The 2005 ALMS GT2 class champion, Patrick has won his class twice at the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans (2004 and 2007) won the 12 Hours of Sebring twice, the Petit Le Mans three times, and raced the #6 Porsche RS Spyder in 2008 for legendary team owner Roger Penske. One of America’s star drivers, Patrick races sportscars around the world, and counts among his partners Porsche, Oakley, Troy Lee Designs, Wheel Enhancement, Shock Doctor, Leeper’s Stair Products and Girard-Perregaux.

24Hr Racer documents the personal stories of the best racers that ply their trade on circuits of black tar surfaces around the world. Telling the stories of these endurances racers who occasionally don fire retardant racing suits to step into a 24 hour whirlwind of super-fast mechanized machines and hopefully live to make it to the podium.
