At the penultimate race of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship in Shanghai, Patrick Long, David Heinemeier Hansson and Khaled Al Qubaisi took a competitive 4th place in GTE-AM. Long was pushed off track at the start but battled back to P2 behind the #98 Aston Martin before handing over the car, and the team went on to run smoothly for the duration.
Patrick said, “We had a really smooth race and we ran without any unforced errors today. We were a little off on strategy compared to others in the class, but it was a really good team effort.”
Long’s 2016 season comes to a close Saturday, Nov. 19 as the WEC closes its championship at Bahrain.
