Patrick Long and his teammates Seth Neiman, Jörg Bergmeister and Mike Rockenfeller finished the 50th Anniversary Rolex 24 At Daytona 15th in the GT class, after a series of tough breaks with safety car periods and a late change of their power steering pump. The #45 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, which Flying Lizard fielded with Wright Motorsport, performed well throughout the race, largely avoiding the type of incidents that wreak havoc every year on each team’s best-laid plans.
Early in the race, Patrick wheeled the #45 car as high as P2 in class, and just past the three-hour mark, Jörg Bergmeister climbed as high as P2. Flying Lizard will now switch its focus to the American Le Mans Series season, and the annual classic at the 12 Hours of Sebring, March 17, 2012.
