Patrick Long kicked off his 2011 racing season today by concluding a two-day test with Flying Lizard Motorsport of the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR at Sebring International Raceway, and immediately embarked for Daytona Beach, for the running of the 2011 Rolex 24 At Daytona.
Patrick Long and Flying Lizard Motorsports concluded a successful weekend of official testing for the 2011 Rolex 24 at Daytona with a fast lap of 1:40.697, solidly in the top ten amongst the DP competitors. The race starts at 3:30pm ET on Saturday, January 29.
Patrick Long will race at the Rolex 24 At Daytona with Flying Lizard Motorsport in the #45 Porsche-powered Riley Daytona Prototype in 2011, and will seek his first overall Rolex 24 win. GT winner in 2009, Long will drive a Daytona Prototype for the first time since 2007, when he drove full-time in Grand-Am with Ruby Tuesday Racing.
