Patrick Long and the Dempsey Proton Racing team scored their first pole position in WEC competition on Friday at the WEC’s sole visit to North America for the 2015 season at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX. During the 6-hour race, the #77 team of Long, Patrick Dempsey and Marco Seefried would lead for long periods, including past the halfway mark, but ultimately the team could claim a 4th place finish, just seconds behind the third podium spot.
Next up is the legendary Fuji circuit in Japan, Sunday, October 11.
